Organized by the 5 Rotary Clubs of Springfield, come and sample the cooking of over 60 BBQ teams completing for coveted prizes in the Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned event. Rock’n Ribs has raised over $700,000 since 2000 to benefit Children’s Charities in the Ozarks.

The Rock’n Ribs Package – available at Registration

The package includes tickets for gate admission for Friday night and for all-day Saturday. Bring your tickets to get in the gate. The package also includes the Convention VIP Hospitality Tent – a place to meet Rotary friends – eats provided and beverages are available. Dress is casual.

Directions to Rock’n Ribs at Bass Pro

From Convention Center, 720 E. St. Louis to Bass Pro – total 2.6 miles

  1. Go West 0.3 miles to S. Jefferson Ave.
  2. Turn left (south) onto Jefferson 1.9 miles
  3. turn right onto E. Sunshine Str. 0.2 miles
  4. turn left onto S. Campbell Ave. 0.2 miles
  5. Rock’n Ribs is in the parking lot south of the Bass Pro store

Parking Suggestions at Rock’n Ribs

  1. Private parking lot. $10 –Proceeds go to RnR. Go south past the store to the stop light, turn right, lot on the left. This lot is very close to the Convention VIP Tent.
  2. Private parking lot. $10 –Proceeds go to RnR. Across Campbell (east) from the Bass Pro store. A short walk to RnR main gate.
  3. Free parking – The Bass Pro lots and the old K-Mart lot and the Everest College lot on Sunshine Street are all free with free shuttles running to the event.

Shuttle Rides

Check with your lodging facility. Some may provide shuttle rides to and from Rock’n Ribs.

Convention VIP Hospitality Tent at Rock’n Ribs on Friday evening

On Friday evening 5:00 to 8:30, attendees who purchased Rock’n Ribs package are invited to the Rotary Convention VIP Hospitality tent for a special menu provided by Kevin and the Good Samaritans Boys Ranch. Beverages and RnR apparel are available. Meet your Rotary friends at the Tent but you are encouraged to spend time on the RnR grounds. Some of the 60 cooking teams may even share “special treats”! Music, dancing, food, community fun!

The Convention VIP Tent is located on the southeast corner of the RnR grounds, just south of the Bass Pro Catalog store. Go on the left side of the Big Tent and around the corner to The Convention VIP Tent.
